Hendersonville Medical Center Welcomes New Chief Operating Officer

 
July 20, 2009– Kenneth C. Donahey begins chief operating officer duties at Hendersonville Medical Center today, Chief Executive Officer Regina Bartlett has announced. Former COO Brian Cook was recently promoted to CEO at Parkridge East Hospital in Chattanooga.

Donahey comes to Hendersonville after serving as associate administrator and ethics and compliance officer at Chattanooga’s Parkridge Medical Center for the last four years. Before joining the staff at Parkridge, Donahey worked in healthcare investment banking in New York.

“I am very pleased that K.C. will serve as our new COO here at Hendersonville Medical Center,” Bartlett said. “His experience and skills will serve us well in achieving our goal of continuing to provide excellent health care for our patients and to our community.”

A Nashville native, Donahey earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bucknell University and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He and his wife, Meriel, have a three year old daughter, Lauryn.

“I’m excited about joining the team at Hendersonville,” Donahey said. “This facility is experiencing much growth and success, and I look forward to becoming a part of the team, as well as a part of the Hendersonville community.”
